Monterey and Carmel, California, will be the location for the upcoming
Plein Air Convention & Expo, April 10-14. This will be the second annual plein air convention sponsored by
Plein Air Magazine.
More than thirty professional artists will provide instruction, demos, discussions and lectures, including special guests Peter Adams, Ken Auster, Scott Christensen, James Gurney, Ned Mueller, C.W. Mundy and Ray Roberts. You can paint along side them outdoors, and they will offer critiques. There will also be a special one-day, pre-conference event to teach the essentials of plein air painting to anyone who wants to learn the basics.

Attendance is limited, and the host hotel (near Fisherman's Wharf) has already been booked up. An installment plan, which expires January 31, allows you to make three payments of $265 ($795 total). After February 15th, the cost will be $995. This registration covers the entire conference, continental breakfast each morning and a box lunch en route to painting destinations. Hotel is not included. If you belong to one of the many (about 200) of plein air societies listed, you can receive a discount. We'll see you there!
