Hans Groeneveld

by Sarah Judson July 05, 2016

We met Hans Groeneveld at the Plein Air Convention last April when he purchased a few things from us. His blog post about the event said the Tucson landscape was like landing on Mars!

His website features both oils and watercolors, and his blog includes many pencil sketches as well.

"I enjoy capturing what is in front of me by using as much character as possible and try to maintain an eye for detail in my subjects as well as working with the bigger abstract shapes. Apart from studio work, I like to travel and record spots and places outdoors. Outdoor painting and sketch work provides an ultimate challenge to get something going in a limited amount of time. Conditions are never the same and the experience is precious."
