Sharon Culf-Gorman
We recently received a thank-you note from one of our award winners, Sharon Culf-Gorman, along with an image of the winning painting (a 14"x18" pastel entitled Ogunquit, Maine, shown here). Sharon won the award in the 17th Annual Pastel Painters of Maine International Juried Exhibition. She also paints in oils (see below left, Dubois Park, 11"x10" and below right, The Preserve, 6"x6")
"Although I prefer to paint from direct observation, the overall design of the painting and its painterly qualities are still important to me."
